Welcome back to the Office of the EA.

If you’re new here 👋 I’m Chrissy Arias, founder of Office of the EA. This newsletter is for Executive Assistants, Chiefs of Staff, and operators doing the real work behind the office.

Our little corner of the internet has grown quite a bit since the last issue in January, so first, thank you for being here. 🙏

You may have noticed things have been a little quiet. That’s because behind the scenes we’ve been building.

This week we launched three operator tools designed to help with some of the most common parts of the job: planning offsites, booking executive dinners, and navigating the EA job market.

Here’s what we built.

Operator Tools from Office of the EA

We launched three tools designed to make some of the behind-the-scenes work of the role a little easier.

🏕 Offsite Planning Helper

🍽 EA Executive Dining Map

A curated map of restaurants recommended by Executive Assistants around the world for board dinners, investor meetings, and executive travel.

🔎 Operator Job Board

Stop Drowning In AI Information Overload

Your inbox is flooded with newsletters. Your feed is chaos. Somewhere in that noise are the insights that could transform your work—but who has time to find them?

The Deep View solves this. We read everything, analyze what matters, and deliver only the intelligence you need. No duplicate stories, no filler content, no wasted time. Just the essential AI developments that impact your industry, explained clearly and concisely.

Replace hours of scattered reading with five focused minutes. While others scramble to keep up, you'll stay ahead of developments that matter. 600,000+ professionals at top companies have already made this switch.

🔎 The Operator Job Board

Over the past month, I found myself back in the job market. 🫠

And one thing quickly became clear: LinkedIn was not exactly delivering the goods.

Not because there weren’t opportunities, but because the quality of what I was seeing felt… questionable. Even with alerts set to notify me within the hour, I’d open them only to discover a whole lot of nothing burgers.

So I did what many of us end up doing: bouncing between LinkedIn, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday (basically every hiring platform known to the internet) hoping I hadn’t missed something good.

At one point I had so many tabs open it looked like my browser was planning its own offsite.

And that’s when the aha moment hit.

In typical EA fashion, I thought: there has to be a more efficient way to do this.

So I built one!

The Operator Job Board lets you run one search and instantly open results across 20+ hiring platforms used by startups and tech companies.

And because my instinct is always to share what’s useful with this community, I decided to open it up to all of you too.

Because when one of us wins, we all win.

One last note.

If you’re currently looking for a role or were recently impacted by layoffs, please know you’re not alone. The job market is tough right now, and it can test even the most confident operators.

Don’t let it shake your belief in what you bring to the table. Great EAs and operators are some of the most capable people in any organization. The right role (the one that values your skill set and experience) will come.

Until then, keep going. This community is rooting for you.

The Astro Report

Intuitive guidance for Executive Assistants

This section of the newsletter is written by Cat Dean, an Executive Assistant, tarot reader, and intuitive consultant who studies how astrology intersects with the workplace.

Each month Cat shares a short cosmic briefing for operators navigating the chaos of calendars, executives, and everything in between.

Here’s what’s happening in the stars right now. ♓️

From February 18 – March 20, the wheel of the year reaches its final stop in Pisces, the twelfth sign of the zodiac. Ruled by Neptune, Pisces governs dreams, intuition, illusions, and the thin line between reality and fantasy.

At its best, this energy helps us integrate everything we've learned from the previous cycle — emotionally, professionally, and personally — allowing us to move forward with deeper awareness. When ignored, however, Pisces can pull us into overwhelm, unrealistic expectations, or the habit of hoping things will magically resolve themselves.

With a new moon eclipse in February, a full moon eclipse this week, and a Mercury Retrograde in the mix, chances are you’ve felt that something is slightly… off.

Eclipses tend to bring sudden realizations, unexpected opportunities, and sometimes abrupt changes. They can feel dramatic — but they also help reveal what was already shifting beneath the surface.

In moments like this, the key is balance: knowing when to take bold action and when to quietly observe and recalibrate.

Pisces Strategic Alignments

• Avoid signing binding contracts if possible. If you must, get a second opinion.
• Retrogrades will delay travel — build backup plans into your itineraries.
• Try an EA fire drill: walk through potential scenarios before your nervous system has to.
• Hear every side of the story before reacting.
• Reach out to the person in your network who keeps coming to mind.
• Clear your workspace to welcome fresh intentions.
• Remove one task from your plate that you truly don’t have the capacity for.
• Notice patterns across your role, your execs, and your organization.

Expect vivid dreams, heightened sensitivity, and moments of emotional clarity. This period asks us to slow down long enough to listen to what our intuition is already trying to say.

And remember — just around the corner, Aries season arrives with the energy of a fresh start.

Hold. On.

Include:

• the topic you'd like to write about

• a short description of the key ideas you'd cover

Office of the EA is a space for operators to learn from each other, and I’d love to feature more voices from this community.
